Privacy policy
Last updated 22 August 2026. Ghost Run is operated by King Chi LTD, England.
The short version
Ghost Run is a simulator. It never connects to a bank, a broker or a real account, so there is no financial data to hold and none is held. You can use it without giving us a name or an email address.
What we collect
- An anonymous account identifier. Created on first launch so your replays can be saved. It is a random string and is not linked to you.
- Your replays. The decisions you made, when, and the reason you chose from the list.
- What you told us about your experience level, if you answered.
- Usage analytics. Which screens are opened and which replays are started and finished, through Firebase Analytics.
- Purchase status, if you buy the unlock — whether it has been bought, and the store’s reference for it. Payment itself is handled entirely by Apple or Google. We never see your card.
- A display name and avatar for leaderboards. Assigned automatically as something like “Ghost 4821” until you change it. This is the only thing other people see, and it is never your real name.
- Your email address, only if you choose to sign in.
What other people can see
Ghost Run has leaderboards. If you finish a replay, your display name, avatar and result can be shown to other players — and may be shown publicly, including on this website. Nothing else about you appears there.
Your real name is never published, even when you sign in with Google or Apple and we therefore know it. Your email address is never published either. Everyone starts under an assigned pseudonym, and changing your display name in the app updates it everywhere you already appear.
If you would rather not appear at all, contact us and we will remove your entries.
What we do not collect
No bank or broker connections. No real balances. No card details. No contacts, no photos, no location, no advertising identifiers. There are no third-party ad networks in Ghost Run and your data is not sold or shared for advertising.
Why we hold it
To save your replays, to show you patterns across them, and to decide whether a paid replay may be opened. Analytics is used to understand which parts of the app work.
Who processes it
Google Firebase — authentication, database, hosting and analytics. Google Cloud Vertex AI generates the coach’s written feedback from the numbers your replays produce; the prompts are constructed on our servers and no personal detail is included. Apple and Google process payments.
Where it is stored
In Google Cloud, in the europe-west2 region (London).
How long
Until you delete it. Delete your account in the app under Settings, or request deletion here, and the account and every replay under it are removed.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you may ask for a copy of your data, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be erased. Write to info@king-chi.org and we will respond within 30 days. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Children
Ghost Run is not directed at children and is rated 18+.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will say so in the app before the change applies.
